Do you offer Telehealth? How does it work?

IWT offers telehealth through A HIPAA Compliant safe online program. There is a downloadable App, or you are able to access it from the web, via phone or computer. Therapy is private and personal, it is our preference that our clients be in a safe, private location. Clients should have access to working internet, a camera and microphone. (PLEASE SEE TELEHEALTH DISCLOSURES IN INTAKE DOCUMENTS.) In case of connectivity issues, we will have session via telephone if that is the available available option.

How long is each therapy session?

The Frequency of therapy sessions is determined during treatment planning. A standard therapeutic Session lasts approximately 50 minutes, however Assessments and some couple/ family sessions can be booked for 90 minutes at a higher rate. Session times can vary based on treatment needs and if prior arrangements have been made.

What are your hours?

All sessions with therapists are by appointment only. We do not offer walk-in appointments or consultations. We have limited availability for weekend appointments. All of our therapists offer telehealth therapy services. Some of our therapists may have a waiting list at times. In general, you can reach us administratively Monday through Friday between 9am and 4pm. We try to respond to all email and referral inquiries within 24 hours.

Do you accept my insurance?

Inclusion Wellness accepts some insurance plans. To see the list of Accepted Insurance please click the underlined link. If your insurance is not in our network (Out-of-Network or OON), we can provide you with a Superbill. Many insurance companies will reimburse a certain percentage of your bill, based on your coverage. You, as the client, are responsible for knowing the coverage to your specific plan. We recommend verifying your benefits before confirming your appointment.

If you would like to have your treatment remain private, you can choose not to use your insurance for therapy. When using insurance, documentation requires a mental health diagnosis, which will be provided to your insurance provider. If you do not wish to share that information with your insurance provider, you can be “self-pay” or “cash pay” (cash, check, credit card, etc).

Do you offer reduced rates or a sliding fee scale?

Our out-of-pocket rates are set to reflect both the experience and expertise of the providers and to match the local industry standards. However, our practice participates in the Open Path Psychotherapy Collective and if you qualify for the program, there are a limited number of spots available with Inclusion Wellness Therapy through the collective, for reduced rates . You can learn more about it Here and Here. As noted, these are limited appointments and there may be a waiting list.

What is the first session like?

If you decide to schedule with us at IWT after your consultation, you will receive an invitation to our client portal. In the patient portal, all of the required documents for intake with the practice will be available for you to review and complete, electronically.  There may be some additional questionnaires or assessments included in your intake packet, based on your consultation with the therapist.  The portal is confidential and HIPPA compliant however, if you are more comfortable on paper or if computers are not your comfort zone, then all the forms will be available to complete in person before your appointment, (if this is your plan, then please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled session to be sure you have a chance to review the documents.)  In most cases, the first session is an opportunity for you and the provider to connect, complete and intake assessment, talk about what is the reason, goals or challenges that brought you to Inclusion Wellness and see if you both feel like it is the right fit for you and what you want to accomplish. This session is a wonderful opportunity to ask any questions you may have about therapy and what concerns or hopes you have about the process.

What is the recipe for success?

If you asked 15 people the best way to make Mac & Cheese, you would get at least 13 different recipes.  There is only one way, the way my mother made it… Are you rolling your eyes?  Or did you know my mom?  The story is there is never one way to do anything and there is no single way to grow or process or provide healing through therapy.  Part of effective treatment is understanding that each client is unique in their viewpoint and in what they need in order to accomplish the goal they create.  Therefor it is not possible to give a specific timeframe for how long or how many sessions it will take to achieve that goal.  It would be wonderful if therapy was a pleasant and comfortable experience from start to finish, but it can involve intense and painful emotions or memories.  For services to be successful the client has to fully invest in doing the work, even when it is challenging. The client agrees to show up and engage in treatment with their provider.  It is not unusual for people to complete services, and then return at a later date for other issues, to accomplish new life goals, or to refresh if they have found themselves falling back into negative patterns or experiencing grief, loss or trauma.  Success as far as therapy is determined by how far the client feels they have gotten closer to their goals.
